Samsung Teases Foldable Smartphone
There has been a trend among smartphone manufacturers to come out with bigger and sharper screens to meet consumer demand for more convenient displays.
If it’s starting to look like tablets and big phone screens are almost converging in size to the point where they become hard to handle, you may wonder what other options might be available to give you a better visual experience with your device. Wouldn’t it be great if you had a phone that’s large enough to browse the web and see documents more easily, but that lets you fold it in half for easier storage in your pocket or purse?
Early adopters who crave the latest in smartphone technology are looking forward to the day when Samsung reveals its latest development — a foldable smartphone with two screens.
Prototype Coming in November?
For years, Samsung has reportedly been developing a new foldable smartphone, according to a report from The Verge, which noted that the company previewed a teaser of its prototype via Twitter in October.
It’s possible that the phone might be available for sale before the end of the year, according to an interview that DJ Koh, Samsung’s CEO gave to CNBC. However, the company has not been revealing much in the way of hardware yet.
Samsung is now hinting that it will reveal the new phone or at minimum the latest prototype version at its annual developer conference. If you can’t wait to see the latest technology from Samsung, their conference is slated to run November 7-8, 2018 at the Moscone West in San Francisco, California.
The prospect of a phone that lets you multi-task with two separate screens should do wonders for your productivity. In addition, it will be more convenient to carry around, since the device should fit easily in your pocket once folded in half.
Getting a New Smartphone?
Make sure you mount your new phone safe and securely when driving! If you opt to get Samsung’s foldable smartphone, you’ll undoubtedly want to have it with you when you’re out and about. To minimize distractions while driving in your vehicle, it’s best to keep your device securely in place with a dashboard mount. Doing so will help keep you and your passengers safer.
