Samsung Unpacks Version 3.0 Folding Smartphone

Folding phones are back and here to stay. At last week’s virtual Unpacked Event, Samsung debuted two new Galaxy smartwatches, wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3.

Galaxy Z Fold3

A whopping $200 cheaper than version 2.0, the Galaxy Z Fold3 is still a luxury purchase with a tablet-sized 7.6-inch unfolded screen. Even when folded, it rivals other large smartphone displays with a closed display of 6.2-inches. The Z Fold3 is expected to begin arriving on August 27 and will cost you $1,800.

Galaxy Z Flip3

A successful recycle of an early 2000’s design, the Galaxy Z Flip3 and its 6.7-inch display actually rival the similar size screen of the 12 Pro Max. Plus you can flip the screen down to a compact 3×3-inch square that will fit neatly in your pants pocket. The Z Flip3 is expected to begin arriving on August 27 and will only cost you $1,000.

Galaxy Watch4

The latest smartwatch from Samsung is better than ever before. The Galaxy Watch4 comes with significantly improved health tracking and an overall sleek design. If you’re in the market for a smartwatch that isn’t the Apple Watch, you may have found your winner.

Galaxy Buds2

The original Galaxy Buds were a hit, and Samsung has made some minor improvements to make them even better. A subtle design and active noise cancellation for a relatively affordable cost of $149.

The Official End of the Galaxy Note

Samsung announced last winter that the popular Note series was going away, signaling the end of an era. Fans of the Galaxy S Pen shouldn’t worry, because Samsung has made the Galaxy Fold3 compatible with the S Pen. Exciting days are still ahead for the phablet size smartphone market.
