On March 16th Samsung released the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. While this new duo seems almost identical to the Galaxy S8 and S8+, there are some serious upgrades that have been made. Improvements to the camera, software, speakers, and location of the fingerprint scanner are at the forefront of the new design. So far, Samsung users are loving it.

Galaxy S9 Camera
There were many noticeable updates made, but the camera is where the S9 and S9+ most evolved, with a dual aperture lens (f/1.5 and f/2.4) that adapts to light like the human eye. Automatically able to convert to different lighting conditions, you’re sure to get great photos no matter if it’s a sunny day or starry night.
Galaxy S9 Design
The most noticeable design element that changed is the fingerprint scanner location on the device. Previously located next to the rear camera, Samsung moved the sensor below the lens. Not only does this allow for easier unlocking of your device, but hopefully helps prevent your finger from smudging the camera and ruining your pictures.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ also come with the new Android Oreo software, which incorporates new features like AR Emoji, a play on Apple Animoji. AR Emoji captures your face and creates an avatar of yourself to share a personal touch in all your messages.
