Apple is a company that heavily focuses on personal health. The health-conscious company released an ECG app on the Apple watch that allows you to track your heart rate whenever you are active. CEO Tim Cook has even said that he believes that Apple’s “greatest contribution to mankind” will be innovations that help improve our health.
With this being said, we can almost predict that the Apple AirPods 2 will have some kind of health feature integrated into its design. There have been reports from Digitimes recently that have stated that the AirPods 2 will have health monitoring features in development. Will AirPods 2 Support Wireless Charging?
Recently, Apple unveiled their new AirPower wireless charging mat. This device allows you to charge your Apple products without having to physically hook them up to a device. This is an incredible breakthrough in the industry and truly a first of its kind. There have been rumors that there will be a wireless charging AirPods 2 case that you can take on the go. This would be an incredible innovation that would allow you to charge your device almost anywhere.
Improved Connectivity
The previous Apple AirPods were powered by Apple’s W1 chip. While this chip has plenty of power and functionality, Apple has begun to use a W2 chip in their newer Apple Watch models. It almost seems entirely certain that the AirPods 2 will utilize the W2 chip and have Bluetooth 5.0 integration.
With these upgrades, you could expect to see your Apple AirPods 2 experience longer range and more speed. This will allow you to listen to your AirPods 2 further away from the playing device that you have it connected to. We’re definitely looking forward to this one!
