Introducing the World’s Fastest Car and a Pizza Truck – ProClip Roundup Recap

Hennessey plans to take on Bugatti for the title of fastest car in the world, and Toyota has teamed up with Pizza Hut with a robotic pizza truck!

ProClip Roundup: Season 3 Episode 8

We’re back with the season finale of the ProClip Roundup! It’s the weekly show where we discuss the mobile and car tech news that actually matters. Here’s a quick glimpse of the stories that closed out another exciting Techtober.

Apple Introduces New Products

Two of Apple’s longest neglected Mac products received updates at Apple’s October 30th event in New York City. The MacBook Air receives an all-new Retina display, two USB-C ports and still has a headphone jack. The Mac mini received a refresh for the first time in four years. The compact desktop machine starts at $799. The biggest product news was the redesign of the iPad Pro. The new designed eliminated the home button and headphone jack, and made the switch over to USB-C to further scramble Apple’s confusing port ecosystem. Apple also released iOS 12.1, which includes a fix to the charging issue that plagued the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

OnePlus Unveils 6T

OnePlus is bringing the in-display fingerprint scanner to the United States with their newest smartphone, the OnePlus 6T. The phone will be the first product from OnePlus that can be activated on any US carrier, including Verizon. It includes a small, teardrop-shaped notch at the top of the phone, no headphone jack and no wireless charging, but does feature incredibly fast face unlock and fast charging. We enjoyed reviewing the previous model and anticipate the 6T being a hit as well.

SEMA Show 2018

The SEMA Show took place this week in Las Vegas, drawing the hottest trends in the automobile industry together for one giant trade show. Our favorite story from the event was the collaboration between Toyota and Pizza Hut called the Pie Pro. Toyota put an autonomous pizza oven in the back of a Tundra, replaced the gas engine with a hydrogen fuel cell, and can have the robot cook your pizza while the truck drives to your location!

Another highlight was the unveiling of the Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar. Hennessey intends to take on the Bugatti Chiron to claim the title of the world’s fastest car. The Venom F5 can go from 0 to 186 mph in less than 10 seconds! The hypercar will cost $1.6 million, with only 24 being built.

The updated 2019 Camaro got another update after negative reactions to the first redesign. Chevrolet is correcting their mistake with the concept vehicle, but may roll it out to the public depending on reception.

That wraps up this season of the ProClip Roundup! We’ll be back on Black Friday, so be sure to subscribe on YouTube and look for a special bonus episode on Instagram!
