The iPad Mini 3 did not receive a large update over its predecessor. In terms of design and dimensions, the tablet is virtually the same.

The Mini 3 is available in gold, space gray and silver. It features the same A7 chipset as was used in the iPhone 5S and iPad Air. It has a 5 MP camera with autofocus and a secondary 1.2 MP camera. The biggest change was the addition of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
