Did you know the Tesla S is currently the top selling plug-in electric car in North America?
The Tesla S is a four-door electric sports sedan with an amazing fuel economy of 89 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent.
The car has a super sleek interior featuring two screens. The primary instrument panel is a 12.3-inch LCD display which shows speed, power usage and charge level. The secondary 17-inch touchscreen can be used for apps (like maps and navigation), interior controls (like doors, lights, volume and climate settings) and more.
Fitting of the Tesla Mounts
With all these great features, it’s no wonder the Tesla S is the top-selling plug-in electric car. We had been looking for a Tesla S to test our new mounts in. Luckily, we had this nice man offer up his Tesla for us to use as a test model!
Christopher owns Customs Unlimited / K-Man Auto & Scooters. They are a scooter, moped, motorcycle and electric car dealer selling both new and used inventory and performing custom auto body work. They also convert gas vehicles to operate on 100% electric.
Thanks to Christopher, we were able to test and release two new Tesla S dashboard mounts, both compatible with 2013 and 2014 models.
ProClip Tesla S Dashboard Mounting Bases
We have a Tesla S Center Mount. This mount attaches to the center dashboard, just to the right of the steering wheel. This is still our most popular mounting position.
The other mount is a Tesla S Angled Mount. This mounting base attaches just to the bottom right of the center dashboard screen display. In this position, the mount is still in view of the driver, but is also within reach of the front-seat passenger.
Both Tesla mounts are part of the two-part ProClip Mounting Solution, which consists of a device-specific holder and a vehicle-specific mounting base. Most ProClip device holders can be attached to these Tesla mounting bases to create the two-part solution.
