2019 Dodge Ram Wins North American Truck of the Year
The all-new for 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 was crowned North American Truck of the Year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 beat out other finalists for the prestigious award, including the redesigned 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500.
It was the second time the Ram 1500 won the honor. It previously won North American Truck of the Year in 2013. Judges cited the Ram 1500’s e-Torque mild-hybrid tech, available in both V6 and V8 engines., along with a luxury interior, and oversized 12-inch U-connect touchscreen panel.
Redesigned For 2019
The exterior of the Ram 1500 has been redone for 2019. It includes a raised aluminum hood and RAM letters across the grille, which leans forward. There are six different grille styles available. A new frame used 98% high-strength steel and helps make the new Ram 1500 lighter by a total of nearly 225 pounds.
There are six trim levels available for the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500:
- Tradesman
- Big Horn
- Revel
- Laramie
- Longhorn
- Limited
Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, and Laramie are available as crew cabs or Quad cabs. All of the models are standard 2-wheel drive, but 4-wheel drive and longer beds are options.
