The 10 Best Things at CES 2019 – ProClip Roundup Season Finale

Hey everybody, welcome back to the ProClip Roundup! It’s the weekly news show that brings you all the mobile and car tech news that’s worth talking about. This week, we have been at CES 2019 in Las Vegas checking out all the hottest trends and innovations in mobile and car tech. Because there was SO much to talk about, we created a special two-episode finale to talk about our favorite things we saw at this year’s show.

1. Sony

The best thing that I saw at CES 2019 was the Sony booth. The whole booth was full of amazing tech, from their super high-end noise cancelling headphones that cost $2,300, to the new cameras and the Playstation VR. I got the chance to play Beat Saber, which was a ton of fun!

2. Harley-Davidson LiveWire

Next up, I got to see the prototype for the Harley-Davidson LiveWire. It is their first ever electric motorcycle. The bike will be coming out later in 2019. It is a bit on the pricey side, but we’re still excited about the potential it brings.

3. Varram Pet Exercise Robot

A little on the lighter side is the Varram Pet Exercise Robot. The robot is the perfect companion to keep your pet active while you’re out of the house. It dispenses treats to keep your dog or cat motivated and chasing it around. Personally, my cat could use the exercise so I will probably be picking one up on Indiegogo.

4. Tobii Eye-Tracking

Another one of my favorites was the Tobii Eye-Tracking. This module can strap onto your computer monitor and track your eye movements while playing video games. That’s not the only practical use for this technology though, it can also be used for some amazing communication in the medical field.

5. truMedic Massage Chairs

CES is a long show, leaving attendees and exhibitors exhausted. The perfect way to cap off a long week at CES is with the truMedic massage chair. It’s like having five masseuses working on you at once. You can get one for yourself for the low, low price of $4,700!

That’s it for my top five favorite things from CES 2019. Now I’ll toss it over to Chris to talk about his top 5 car stories from the show!

6. The BMW Experience

My absolute favorite part of CES 2019 was the BMW experience. We got to ride around a terrain course in a brand-new BMW X7 and I got the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a BMW i8, which is easily the coolest car I have ever driven. I just wish I had the chance to drive it more.

7. Audi

My next favorite part was the Audi booth. I may be a little biased because I drive an Audi, but it was still great. Some of the best parts of their booth included a look at the new infotainment systems that will be coming in Audi’s future cars, an up-close look at new Audi e-tron.

8. Electric Race Cars

My third favorite part was checking out the electric race cars at the show. Nissan brought their electric race car for its first appearance in the United States, and even though I didn’t get to sit in it, it was still incredibly cool to see. We also got to see a Formula E race car which was super neat to hear about the zero-emissions race events.

9. Sony

That’s it for the auto specific favorites, but I also had two other favorites from CES. One of them was the Sony booth that Gregg talked about earlier. I use Sony cameras, so their booth was like heaven. I got the sensor cleaned on my camera for free and I got a hands-on feel for their newest cameras.

10. Nikon

My final favorite part of CES was at the Nikon booth. They had a mini photo studio set up, and Gregg and I got to have a little bit of fun while we were working.

That’s it for this week’s special season finale of the ProClip Roundup from CES 2019. We will be back in a couple weeks with a new season. Don’t forget to subscribe on YouTube so you never miss the biggest stories. Thanks for watching!
