The ProClip Roundup Recap Blog: Season 1 Episode 3
Hey everybody, I’m ProClip Gregg, and welcome to the ProClip Roundup! This is a video series that we kicked off to discuss some of the top weekly news for our favorite things – cars and tech! Here are a few of the things that caught my eye in the news this week:
ProClip Roundup Recap:
Amazon Prime Wants to Deliver to Your Car
Amazon announced their new service called Amazon Key! This service will allow delivery drivers to drop off your package directly to your car’s trunk or back seat instead of leaving it on your porch. Amazon is working with newer models of cars including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Volvo and more. The service will be rolled out in 37 select cities in the United States. The announcement comes after Amazon’s in-home delivery service was met with quite a bit of skepticism.
Voided Warranty Stickers
Those stickers that you’ve been seeing for years on your Playstation and Xbox that say your warranty will be voided if seal is damaged are meaningless according to the FTC. If you decide to go ahead and do a little repair on your favorite gaming console, that will not void the warranty. Make sure you know what you’re doing though, if you break it, that’s not covered by the warranty.
A Street View of the 2017 Solar Eclipse
Last year was the most-viewed solar eclipse in history and now you can relive the moment forever thanks to Google! A Google Street View car captured the event along the path of totality in Maryland Heights, Missouri and the results are definitely worth checking out here!
Taking Your Smartphone Camera to the Next Level
We know all about the great cameras on the newest smartphones on the market, but if you’re looking to step up your photography with your new smartphone, Moment Lenses are worth your time! Available add-ons include a wide-angle, telephoto and the super fisheye lens.
Ford No Longer Selling Cars?
Ford announced that they will be dropping all but two cars from their North American lineup. This means that only the Ford Mustang, and the newly introduced Ford Focus Active will be produced as the Taurus, Fusion, Fiesta and the previous Focus will be disappearing from the Ford lineup. Ford said that by 2020, 90% of its North American portfolio will consist of trucks, utilities and commercial vehicles.
