3 Reasons to Hit the Black Friday Sales

November 4, 2014 •

Black Friday, or the day after Thanksgiving, is the biggest day of the year for sales of all kinds. This year is sure to be a big year for Android fans, what with all the new devices and accessories on the market. This means that if you are planning to hit the Android sales, you need to be organized and ready.

While the exact sales haven’t all been set—yet—here are a few potential deals that you should keep an eye on as the big day approaches.

The Year of the Tablet

It’s no secret that 2014 is going to be a big year for Android tablets. One recommendation is to check out the “phone stores.” AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile are all likely to offer some amazing post-Thanksgiving deals to try to turn your phone plan into a multi-device plan. If you’re a tablet user on the go, this could be the perfect deal for you! The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is already a great deal when compared to the more expensive iPad, but with the approaching sales it could become a steal.

The Best Phones

Shopping for phones isn’t a simple matter any longer. If you already have service and a contract, you may get your best deals post-Thanksgiving at Amazon.com. If the sales this year are anything like they were last year, you’ll be able to find hot deals like the Galaxy S5 for a price comparable to the “with contract” rates. In 2013 there were many “free with contract” phone deals on and around Black Friday that may even let you leave with cash in your pocket after a trade in allowance for your old phone.

Accessories, like cases, ear buds/headphones, wireless speakers and other extras are expensive add-ons to your phone or tablet cost. Take advantage of the Black Friday sales for these items and you may even avoid the mad rush that the sales on the devices themselves create. Many stores offered these deals in the past—this year should be no exception.

As we get closer to the big day, search for the sales and make yourself a list of the must-dos. The key to success on Black Friday is organization!
