Learn These Handy iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Gestures
With each release of its groundbreaking iPhone, Apple continues to innovate new ways for users to interact with their mobile devices. The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, running the latest operating system iOS 10, have new gestures that you’ll want to learn and try for yourself.

Touch Screen Tips for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Calculator

Do you typically whip out your iPhone when shopping to make a quick calculation? The built-in Calculator app is handy whenever you need to quickly work with figures. If you make a mistake, swiping to the right or left on numbers in the display will erase them one digit at a time, noted BGR.

Safari Browser

In Apple’s Safari web browser, press and hold the “+” icon at the bottom of the display’s tab view and you will call up a list of tabs that you recently closed. Bring the URL bar and toolbar back into view by tapping the bottom of the display.

Videos and Photos

Want to see something up close when watching a video on your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus? You can zoom in on a video now by making the same pinch gesture you may already be familiar with when zooming in and out of images.

While browsing through a large photo album on your device, you can instantly go to the end by tapping the bottom edge (just as you have been able to scroll to the top by tapping the top edge for some time now).

Last Used App

Want to quickly return to the last app you were using? Press your finger on the left edge of the display and then drag across to the right edge, and you will go back to the last app. This is convenient when you are checking things in one app for use in another, such as a document with statistics and an email message you are composing on the topic.

Podcasts and Music

Drag your finger horizontally across the image on the “Now Playing” screen in the Podcasts or Music app to scrub back and forth through the audio track. To make the scrubbing go faster or slower, drag your finger up or down.

If you own a new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you can get more out the device (when not interacting with it using these new gestures) by mounting it in a convenient table stand, which makes it easier to watch videos and catch up on your reading, viewing the screen at the perfect angle. A table stand also makes a great holiday gift for the iPhone fans in your life.
