“Bigger has always been better,” says Samsung regarding its newest phablet flagship, the Galaxy Note 5. One thing Samsung has also been keen on reminding Apple about is that the Note 5’s signature S Pen stands alone against the competition and is the stuff that dreams and screenshots are made of. The new updates to the S Pen are one of the many reasons why the Galaxy Note 5 is being hailed by Samsung as the best smartphone they’ve made to date.

S Pen Updates

Unlike the S Pen of the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has improved functionality of the the new S Pen’s Air Command, which is now active immediately when out. With the S Pen, we can write memos, select and screenshot important (or not so important) images and information. We can even add shortcuts with a click, and true-to-life pressure sensitivity adds value for all the artists out there.

Other Specs

Beyond the S Pen, not much has changed when compared to the Note 4. And when sat side by side with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the specs are practically identical – outside of the Edge screen and S Pen, of course.
